It is with pleasure that we have the opportunity to launch Artsblast 2016 and give you information about this fantastic event.
Artsblast 2016 is taking place on the 18th, 19th and 20th July 2016. Every member of staff and students from years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will be taking part, with the normal timetable suspended for those three days. Pathways will take place at Medina College, the Island Innovation VI Form Campus and off site in many different locations.
artsblast 2016 is set to be another exceptional learning experience for our students and is the fifth whole school extra-curricular event as Medina College. Artsblast is embedded in our ethos at Medina and essential to deliver on our vision to engage with our young people through creativity and innovation.
This year, the ‘Celebrating Diversity’ theme we are sure, will offer an excellent variety of pathways for our students to choose from. These activities will again be provided by staff at the College along with a number of inspirational arts professionals, a range of exciting outside providers and organisations and will support learning around British values and SMSC.
Artsblast 2016 will also support confidence building, create new friendships, develop new skills, raise aspirations and enrich all who participate.
The Artsblast 2016 booklet and preference form will be sent home to you before Easter, which will be packed with exciting pathways to choose from!
Pathway places are booked on a first come first served basis, so please make sure that preference forms are returned as soon as possible and no later than the closing date to avoid disappointment!
For Artsblast 2016, some activities will be run over the three days and some will have different activities for each of the three days.
And finally, let your creativity run, look out for the Artsblast 2016 booklet, choose a pathway and return your form! Have a great three days of trying new activities or developing the skills you already have!!
