• A stream that leads to established pathways through preparation for excellence at GCSE and A Level and linking with top Russell Group universities.

The Curriculum
The Medina College Grammar School Stream offers students the opportunity to study a range of subjects. These subjects will not only prove to be academically challenging and prepare them for entry to Russell Group universities but will also stimulate and interest young minds.

In Year 7, we offer a range of subjects such as Latin and Philosophy as well as the more traditional curricular areas of study. Students will have their learning supported by a number of school trips that will broaden perspectives.

Entry Requirements
In addition to the normal admissions process through the Local Authority, a Medina College Grammar Stream application form needs to be completed, these are available on the College website or from Reception. Once a student has applied for a place, we will send a reference request to the child’s current school. Applicants will be required to undergo a 15-minute interview process during which they will be asked to talk about an item of their choice and read an extract from a novel. SATs and CATs results will also be taken into consideration.
