Information, Advice & Guidance

The Careers Team at Medina College deliver the Careers Information, Advice and Guidance programme. We aim to enable all students to implement well informed and realistic decisions as well as successfully manage change and transition for their futures. The Careers Information, Advice and Guidance programme is delivered through a variety of Career related activities throughout the year and in different learning styles to suit individual needs.

Year 7& 8

• Introduction to Careers with interactive games
• Making Choice/Year 8 Options workshops and support
• University Taster Days
• Take Your Child to Work Day
• BAE – Interactive Roadshows

Year 9, 10 & 11

• Employable Me
• Year 9 Enterprise Challenge
• Take Your Child to Work Day
• Year 10 Work Experience (including preparation and de-brief)
• University Taster Days and Residential
• Army, Navy and RAF information events
• Parent and Student Careers Information Evening (Year 11)
• Mock Interviews (Year 11)
• Career Guidance Interviews (Year 11)

In addition to the all the above there are opportunities to participle in a range of careers events. These include Career Fairs, presentations from outside speakers and notification of interesting careers events that are taking place locally and nationally.
