Admissions Process

Medina College is a foundation school under the Isle of Wight Education Federation. The College takes students of all abilities and aptitudes aged 11 – 19.

The VI Form is shared with our partner school in the Isle of Wight Education Federation, Carisbrooke College. The Governing Body is the admissions authority with responsibility for admissions and administrating appeals.

Admissions including those with disabilities

The college welcomes students with disabilities who have access to the mainstream curriculum and college facilities. The college has full disabled access, including lifts and toilet facilities for the disabled.

Parents who are considering applying are warmly invited to visit the college although it is not a requirement of the admissions process. The admissions team will be pleased to provide information and answer questions by letter, phone or email or to meet with parents to discuss possible applications.

Applying for a place at Medina College

Medina College takes part in the Isle of Wight Council’s co-ordinated Admissions Scheme for admissions to all maintained schools. The Children’s Services Authority (CSA) is required to operate a co-ordinated admissions scheme with applications for all school places made on a Common Application Form (CAF), provided by the Authority.
