What is Medina College Parent Voice?
Medina College Parent Voice is run by the parents of Medina College for the parents, with direct links to the College and the Isle of Wight Education Federation governors. Medina College welcomes input from parents, recognising that students enjoy school more, behave better and achieve more when their parents have a positive relationship with the school.
Am I automatically a member?
Any adult who is a carer or parent of a student at Medina College is automatically a member of Medina College Parent Voice.
Is it the same as a Parent Teacher Association?
Parent Voice is parent-led. We invite the headteacher or another senior leader to our meetings, so they can ask for our feedback on what's being planned for the school, and answer our questions. We also invite a governor to attend. A member of the school staff acts as our school link for any questions that come up. But the membership itself is made up of Medina College parents/carers. It's a great chance to find out more about what’s going on in school, meet staff and other parents and share news and ideas.
