Year 6 Transition 2020

Year 6 Transition

Following guidance from Hampshire, and also Government guidance regarding social distancing, we have taken the decision to run transition completely differently this year. Year 6 children have started to receive and will continue to receive other welcome information in the form of video messages, virtual tours, specific subject related activities and our regular ‘Federation News’ to name a few. Our websites will be updated regularly with new information for them to read and return to.  Therefore, with the health and safety of all of our new students and staff in mind, in school transition days at Carisbrooke College and Medina College will not be going ahead this year. We will be contacting each of our new families by phone over the coming weeks and will make sure that each child feels as prepared as they can given the circumstances. We thank you for your continued support throughout this time and if you do have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Subject Information

As we are unable to give students a physical taster of the subjects that they will be doing when they join us, we have put together some information which will give them an introduction to the subjects and an opportunity to complete some activities: Year 6 Subject Information

End of Term messages:

A letter will be sent out to parents during the week commencing 20th July which will let you know which tutor group your child will be in.

A second letter will be sent out in August detailing the final arrangements for the start of term.

Have a wonderful summer! We can't wait for you to join us in September!
