Year 9 Team Building Day with the Army

On Wednesday 2 July, the army came in for a team-building day with Year 9.

The day started with an engaging presentation about life in the army and army careers. This was followed by time on the field engaging with different team-building activities. Students helped triage and carry wounded individuals, participated in army fitness, completed a blindfolded building task and a box and plank exercise which required careful planning, communication and logic.

The army said how impressed they were with the Year 9 students, who were engaged, polite and well-behaved. Mr Murdoch, Head of Year 9, also commented that "Year 9 represented Medina well, modelling the best characteristics of resilience, perseverance and kindness. They all made me very proud, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. What a fantastic experience!"
