Head of School's Blog - 20 December 2024

We have reached the end of the Autumn Term and, when we return in January, the days will start getting longer, which always gives a positive feeling. We very much hope that you have a restful holiday period and we are looking forward to welcoming students back on Monday 6 January. The next break after that will be February Half Term, which begins Monday 17 February and lasts for one week. As an advanced warning, Monday 10 February is a Development Day, which means the school will be closed to students on this day whilst staff undertake training.

Next term, we have some important events coming up. On Wednesday 15 January, it is Year 9 Parents' Evening. Please ensure you take this opportunity to speak to teachers as students prepare to make their GCSE option choices. Then, on Wednesday 22 January, we have our second Year 11 Parents' Evening. This is a really important opportunity to understand how your child is progressing as they enter the final 12 school weeks before their exams. Please book both of these through the Arbor system and get in touch if you have any problems making your appointments.

I hope you all have a safe, restful and enjoyable break, and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
