Weekly Updates from the Headteacher

After the intense heat at the start of the week, our Year 9 students were keenly engaged in a series of team building activities on the school fields that were run by the Army. You can read all about the activities in the news link below.

Our Year 10 pupils have come to the end of their summer examinations, which will give them a clear indication of their progress so far and what they need to improve upon.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 intake on their transition day next week.

We all wish Mylea all the best in her efforts in the upcoming Island Games in Orkney. What an honour and an achievement to be selected for this.

Finally, it is important that students continue to keep well hydrated in the warm weather. Please ensure that they bring a water bottle to school. We will continue to update on our uniform expectations.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

Sports Day

This year's Sports Day will take place on Thursday 24 July. We are making it
even bigger and better this year!

Students will be representing their tutor group against the other tutor groups in their year. Students will sign up to compete in different athletics events. The morning session will have Discus/Javelin/Shot Put along with distance races. The afternoon session will see the whole school come out for a celebration at the end of the school year and to compete in or spectate the sprint races and relays.

There will be music, commentators and an ice cream van where students can buy
cold drinks or ice creams. Please be aware that participation in events is optional
for students. Students not competing will be out on the field in the afternoon to
spectate and support their tutor members.

Unfortunately, parents/guardians/spectators are not permitted for this event.

Island Games 2025
Congratulations to Year 10 student, Mylea, on being selected to represent the Isle of Wight in swimming at the International Island Games in Orkney!

We wish Mylea and all the other representatives of the Isle of Wight the very best of luck and look forward to hearing how they all get on!
