Welcome to this week's newsletter.
Congratulations to all of our Year 11 and Year 13 students on completing their formal examinations. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, resilience and dedication they have shown throughout this important period.
We wish them every success over the coming weeks and look forward to welcoming them back on results day to celebrate this significant milestone and support them as they take their next steps.
This week we have been gathering student feedback about the school site to ensure that we understand whether there are any areas which we need to focus our attention on, to improve the student experience. Gathering student voice is really important to us, as we want to ensure concerns are dealt with and successes are celebrated.
Thank you for your support over the coming long weekend. The students have been a credit to themselves and us, as the area around the school has gradually got busier. Just a reminder that we are closed tomorrow and students will be provided with online learning for Monday. We have a group of students performing on the Kidzone stage at the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday. Extremely exciting! We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing them perform.
On Tuesday, Year 10 starts their trial exams. We practised lining up for these yesterday, and their approach and maturity during this practice was impressive. It was a great sign ahead of the exams.
Yesterday evening at our VI Form site, our fantastic VI Form students held their launch event for the Boundless Wight – Walk the Wight Board Game. It was very well attended by parents/carers, supporters, local businesses, sponsors, suppliers, stockists and local media. Also in attendance was the Chairman of the Council, Ian Dore, and Nigel Hartley, the High Sheriff, who presented the group with a High Sheriff Award in recognition of great and valuable services to the community. Wow! We are so proud of our students and really grateful for the wealth of local support for them.
We hope you have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to welcoming students back on site on Tuesday morning.
