After some glorious weather, we are already at the end of the second week of this half term. The calendar for the summer term is always extremely busy, and I have no doubt that we will be nearing the end of July in what feels like no time.
Firstly, I would like to celebrate all of our young people today for their hard work this week. The number of reward points that are being given is great to see. Well done!
Year 11 students have been taking Art exams, alongside language speaking exams this week ahead of the full exam season. Year 11 parents/carers will have received a letter this morning from me, so please ensure that you take some time to read it. The bank holiday weekend will give our students a great opportunity to prepare themselves for the next five school weeks ahead. Time to revise, relax, prepare and get some good nights' sleep, so that they are in the best possible place to be successful.
We are starting to look ahead to our new cohort of Year 6 students joining us at the start of July for their transition day. Dan Tennant is our newly appointed Transition Lead, and with his many years of Medina College experience, will be able to support our new young people through this vitally important move on the next step of their educational journey.
I attended our One Trust Day this week where Headteachers, Trustees, Governors, Executive Leaders and Central Team staff from across our Trust came together. We reflected on what our schools do individually and also looked at who we are collectively. It reminded us that we all have our own individual foci and energy, but we are stronger together.
We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school on Tuesday after the bank holiday weekend.
