As I write to you in this final week of the academic year, the summer break beckons, and our young people and staff leave for a well-deserved holiday. At this time of year, it is easy to forget how much the school community has grown and changed.
The last week of term has seen a number of school trips across each year group, where memories are made and friendships strengthened. From our Year 10 pupils having a fun day at Thorpe Park to Year 9 spending time at the Out of Bounds centre.
Our Sports Day at the end of this week was a successful school community event, with lots of vocal support with students cheering each other on in a relaxed, yet competitive atmosphere. There were a number of highlights during the running and throwing events and I was proud of those students who took part, alongside the staff who organised the events.
This week we have also said goodbye to a handful of staff who leave us for new opportunities, and we wish them well on their new adventures.
You will have received additional information via email regarding the detailed arrangements for the start of the new academic year in September. You can find a copy of the letter here.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a restful and refreshing time over the summer break.
