Weekly Updates from the Headteacher

It was great to meet so many parents at the Year 9 options evening this week. The conversations and discussions about subject choices, alongside future aspirations, enabled everyone to get a sense of the best way forward. If you missed the evening, you can find the information that was shared on our website: Year 9 Options

The pupils and staff who went to Belgium visited a number of sites that made for a memorable experience, despite the sickness bug that cut short the trip. You can read more about the trip below.

The ASK careers team visited in the week to support pupils in their future choices and there were some competitive activities held in support of World Book day, as well as a DEAR (drop everything and read) story told in parts throughout the day.

We look forward to a visit from the Royal Navy next week who will be running interactive workshops for our pupils.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Year 8 Boys' Rugby Tournament

The Year 8 boys' rugby team took on The Bay and Ryde Academy in a triangular tournament on Tuesday afternoon. It was a glorious afternoon for rugby and our boys were really enthusiastic, showing some great instances of tackling, running with the ball and passing. Both games were really well contested with all players showing commitment and endeavour. Some excellent Medina tries were scored by Archie, Drew, Mason, Caleb and Stanley. Well played lads!
