This week we have welcomed Rev Kelvin Burke, representing St Paul's Church, Barton, and Ian Peters and Peter Herman, who are Youth For Christ workers, into school to present an assembly on advent to each year group.

We have been impressed with how polite and engaged our students have been with the assemblies, helped along by the potential of receiving an advent chocolate for getting involved.

Christmas can be a financially challenging time of year for many families, so alongside these assemblies, a collection has been made for two local food pantries that support East Cowes and Pan, Newport.

Our visitors have expressed that they have very much enjoyed working with the school and we look forward to welcoming them again in the future.

Medina College is keen to extend its links with the local community moving forward and would encourage community groups interested in getting involved to get in contact.
