Year 9 Pathways
Year 9 students complete their Key Stage 3 courses in July and move onto Key Stage 4 courses in September as they begin Year 10. This is an exciting stage in a student's educational journey and the decisions made about course choices can impact on their future pathways.
Deciding which courses to take can be difficult, and this is why we place great emphasis on advice, support and guidance so that the process can be as straightforward as possible.
Key Dates in the Pathways Process
| January and February | Assemblies and in-class sessions introduce the subjects available. |
| Wednesday 4 March |
Pathways Evening for students and parents/carers to meet subject staff and discuss course content. Pathways selection form will be issued. |
| Friday 13 March | Deadline for return of pathways form. |
| Spring Term 2 and Summer Term 1 | Discussions with students about pathways choices. |
| Summer Term 2 | Confirmation of subjects. |
