Mufti Day for Tula

On Friday 27 March, Medina College shone bright and sparkly in support of Tula, a Year 1 pupil at Nettlestone Primary on the Isle of Wight, who was diagnosed earlier this year with the rare condition Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

To help the family, a GoFundMe campaign was set up, and Nettlestone Primary invited schools across the Island to join the fundraising effort by wearing bright, sparkly clothes inspired by Tula’s favourite things: rainbows and unicorns. We were proud to support this local community initiative, which has now gone global, with people taking part from around the world!

A huge thank you to all our staff and students who made such an effort and donated to support this family during an incredibly challenging time. Coming together as a community like this shows our students the incredible impact we can have when we support one another.

All funds raised by Medina College will be donated directly to Tula’s GoFundMe campaign
