Annual Medina College Awards Evening 2026

The annual Medina College Awards Evening took place on Wednesday 15 July and provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements, progress and personal successes of our students throughout the year. It was a privilege to come together as a community and recognise the hard work, dedication and determination shown by students across all year groups.
Despite the challenging high temperatures and the added excitement of England’s World Cup semi-final taking place later that evening, we were delighted to welcome so many families and members of our community to share in this special occasion. We would like to thank all parents and carers who joined us for their support and commitment to celebrating the achievements of our young people.
Students from Year 7 to Year 11 were recognised with subject awards, year awards, the Progress and Achievement Award, Endeavour Award and the overall Headteachers’ Award. Each of our award winners demonstrated the values that are at the heart of Medina College: courage, kindness, confidence and ambition. Whether through academic achievement, personal growth, resilience, contribution to the school community or commitment to others, these students embody the qualities we strive to develop in every member of our school.
The evening was hosted by Co-Headteachers Anna Mursell and Katie Sandiford, with citations read by curriculum leaders and subject teachers, giving each award a personal and meaningful celebration of the individual student’s achievements. A special mention and thank you must go to Year 11 student, Amber, for beautifully playing the piano as our guests arrived.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable celebration of our students’ successes. We are incredibly proud of all of our award winners and look forward to seeing them continue to shine in the future.
