On Thursday 10 July, Year 11 students from Medina College gathered for their final celebration of the year: the Year 11 Prom. The setting for this year's event was Albert Cottage in East Cowes which was the perfect venue for the 'Hollywood' themed event. Organised by the excellent prom committee and spectacularly put into practice by Mrs Rogers, Albert Cottage set the scene for an unforgettable night.

Students arrived in a variety of cars, limos and horses, all dressed impeccably. Upon entry, they were stunned by the venue as they were welcomed by the life-size Oscar statues and welcome drinks fitting with the theme. During the night, there was laughter, tears and unforgettable moments. Student-voted awards were handed out and this year's Prom King and Queen were crowned. We were delighted to have members of our Year 11 community kick the night's music off with a brilliant performance before the DJ took over, leading to a night of non-stop dancing and good times.

The evening was certainly unforgettable for both staff and students. Students conducted themselves extremely well and were a real credit to the school. Both Mr Jones and Mrs Rogers want to thank Year 11 for providing fantastic memories that will long live with us. Have a fantastic summer, Year 11, and we look forward to celebrating with you again on results day.
