This week, our Year 11 students had the invaluable opportunity to attend the ‘Your Future’ Careers Fayre organised by The Solent Careers Hub and Island Futures Partnership. This inspiring event was designed to help young people explore future pathways and make informed decisions about life after school.

Students attended a theatre presentation outlining higher educational pathways followed by access to representatives from colleges, universities, apprenticeship providers, and a wide range of industries—from engineering and healthcare to media, law, and the armed forces. The atmosphere was full of curiosity and ambition and students engaged confidently with exhibitors, asking insightful questions and gathering information tailored to their interests.

Teachers were impressed by the maturity and enthusiasm shown by year 11 and it was great to see students taking ownership of their futures and making the most of the resources available to them. Next term sees the beginning of their Personal Guidance sessions which will be supported by their experiences at the event. Well done to all!
