A Christmas Carol

On Tuesday 25 November, Years 10 and 11 were treated to a production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ in Medina Theatre.
Dickens’ novella is a key text in their English Literature GCSE and this was an opportunity to get to grips with the plot and characters, which makes up a large part of the objectives that they will be assessed against in the exam.
Quantum Theatre Productions put on a very good show, using only three actors to play a multitude of parts. The storyline was strictly adhered to, so it was of great benefit to the students, especially as it helped to convey the atmosphere and tone that Dickens was striving for. Apart from the educational benefits of watching the production, it also aided in setting the mood for the run-up to Christmas.
